I started writing and producing this track, along with four others, at the start of the new year. The lyrics and melodies have been my anthems, as I’ve been facing some of the most significantly terrifying moments of my life.

God has proven Himself to me as my redeemer. He has rescued me and carried me through the darkness of addiction, depression, and fear. He has shown me His glory time and time again.

On the second day, of the new year, my husband hit his head and suffered a major head trauma, resulting in temporary amnesia and a series of symptoms worthy of a television hospital drama. Standing there, with our two week old baby in my arms, heart undone and afraid, I cried out to my redeemer.

Nothing can prepare you for things like this. The only thing I knew in that moment was that God was with us and that He was good. No matter what happened. No matter what the situations around us said. He is always faithful. He is always good.

I felt compelled to finish this song, along with the rest of the EP, and release it as a testimony that God is still good and He is still holy, even in the midst of a global pandemic.

It is my hope that this music release will encourage those who hear it and shine some light into the darkness.
